While waiting, kids can play in the play area and parents can browse the wide selection of non-toxic products and fun gifts for kids!
There is no age limit at Tortoise & the Hair! Our client base ranges as young as just a few weeks to “kids” in their teens! We also specialize in children with special needs and are wheelchair accessible.

The Story
Tortoise & the Hair Kids Cuts opened in Kingston on June 30, 2007. Kelly, owner and now stylist moved to Kingston
a few months earlier and was near panic when she couldn’t find a children’s salon that could accommodate a four-year old boy who was overcome with sheer terror when it came to getting a haircut. When she couldn’t find one, Tortoise & the Hair came into existence. Fast forward to 2009 and her then four-year old is now seven and her three-year old is now her biggest challenge!
Tortoise & the Hair can relate to the biggest challenges that parents face and the fears some children feel. We will stop at nothing to get the job done.
Tortoise & the Hair will always go out of their way, whether it’s to ease the fears of a little one or make a special princess’ day even more special.
